Enzymedica Employee Walks for Breast Cancer!

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Enzymedica’s own Director of Operations, Linda Kanjorski-Remer is in the Tampa Bay area today participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Breast Cancer Walk. The walk begins with a ceremony in Clearwater which kicks off a 3-day, 60-mile walk through the Florida coast line.

Linda is walking in honor of her mother, who 15 years ago passed away at an early age from breast cancer. She has been training for months, and frequently entertains Enzymedica employees with stories of her training process. Linda recently told of an experience walking through Port Charlotte in the intense Florida heat. She had almost reached her final destination and wondered if she would pass out from heat and dehydration, but she kept going until she reached her goal for the day. Anyone who knows Linda is not surprised by her determination in training!

The Enzymedica team has been happy to be a part of Linda’s passion and enthusiasm for the 3-day walk. The company and individual employees helped Linda to exceed her $3,000 fundraising goal, and her coworkers have been helping motivate her by making phone calls during her nightly walking sessions, and sending letters for her to pick up on the trail. The company also recently had a field day event where employees could participate in a three-legged race, a bike race, an egg toss and even the chance to throw water balloons at the management team. Several employees decided to show Linda their support by wearing pink to the event.
